Enbiya Yuecel, Architectural Assistant
Enbiya is studying for her part 2 masters at the University of Strathclyde and has stayed with RKA on a part time basis following a very successful Part 1 year out.
Enbiya played a key role in a number of commercial and residential projects during her year out
Growing up with a multicultural background has influenced her style and interests in Architecture; such as being passionate about how thoughtful designs can bring together different communities whilst improving mental well-being.
Her thesis, called ‘Second Star To The Left’, focused on the development of the existing abandoned Glasgow railway station, which included creating an underground Metropolis dedicated to Art, community and self-expression.
Enbiya has a deep interest in creating designs that have a positive impact on people’s mental health by paying attention to how materials, form and light impact them.
She strongly believes that Architecture plays a strong role in forming a healthy society as we are influenced by it on a daily. Her main goal is to create designs that encourage people to feel something whilst also showing gratitude towards the earth.
