Eilidh Townend
Architectural Assistant
Eilidh joined the team in 2023 on her Part 1 placement, having received a BArch with Distinction from Dundee University. She is now studying for her Part 2 at Strathclyde University. Having grown up across 6 countries, Eilidh has a personal interest in creating architecture that defines a sense of place and belonging, especially by looking at the local vernacular.
Eilidh’s third year thesis posed the question whether Biomimetic architecture was the answer to designing inherently sustainable buildings, as her main drive for studying architecture is in the pursuit of a more sustainable industry that can adapt to the environmental crisis.
Eilidh is now a member of the RKA sustainability group and has really enjoyed getting to apply her research and passion for sustainability to projects.
