Eilidh Townend, Architectural Assistant

Eilidh has joined the team on her Part 1 placement, having received a BArch with Merit from Dundee University. Having grown up across 6 countries, Eilidh has a personal interest in creating architecture that defines a sense of place and belonging, especially by looking at the local vernacular.

Eilidh’s third year thesis posed the question whether Biomimetic architecture was the answer to designing inherently sustainable buildings as her main drive for studying architecture is in the pursuit of a more sustainable industry that can adapt to the environmental crisis.

Eilidh looks forward to expanding her knowledge of new innovations in sustainable building materials throughout her career and applying these to projects wherever possible.
