Chu-Lin Pamela Feng, Architectural Designer

Born and raised in Foshan, a city in South of China, Chu has completed her RIBA Part II qualification from the University of Edinburgh in 2021 as the joint Best Overall MArch student. Chu has previously worked for an Architecture & Interior Design practice in London during her Part I placement, and most recently, for a small practice in Edinburgh old town as a Part II Architectural Assistant. Her experience includes restaurant fit-out; feasibility studies for community trust clients; designing and delivering retrofit private domestic projects in the UK.

The experiences she has gathered so far strengthened her enthusiasm and practical skills to build upon her speculative sustainable MArch thesis, which focused on a self-sustaining firewood programme for a local crematorium in Ahmedabad, India.

Valuing local culture and crafting skills, Chu always finds herself drawn to design something that is unique to the place, and to experiment with new local building materials.
