Somerset Place is one of five landmark crescents in this World Heritage City. Until 2010 the whole Grade 1 listed building was occupied by Bath Spa University, giving them around 100,000ft2.
Bought in February 2012 following the demise of the previous developer owner, the project was to masterplan the site and design 20 apartments in the parts of the crescent which were damaged by WW2 bombs in 1942. Consent was won with full support from English Heritage and a delegated powers planning decision.
The design of the apartments blends period inspired features with contemporary clarity of design, modern services and luxurious finishes. The aim was to create the best of past and present.
