Ben joined RKA in the summer of 2022 from the University of Dundee as a Part I Architectural Assistant. He continued working part-time with the practice while completing his studies between 2023 and 2025. In June 2025, Ben graduated with a Master of Architecture with First Class Honours, completing five years of study at the University of Dundee.<\/p>\n
During his time at RKA, Ben has contributed to a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, education, listed building, and third sector projects. Toward the end of his Part I placement, he began largely running his own projects, gaining invaluable experience in project management and client communication. He has been involved in various stages of the design process \u2013 from early feasibility studies and concept development to formal planning submissions and building warrant applications.<\/p>\n
Since joining the practice, Ben has deepened his understanding of detailed design and technical work and enjoys the challenge of resolving complex construction details. Alongside his architectural responsibilities, he also manages RKA\u2019s social media platforms and plays an active role in the studio\u2019s marketing efforts, helping to promote its work to a broader audience. Ben has thoroughly enjoyed his time at RKA so far, particularly being part of a talented and supportive team. He looks forward to continuing his professional development and working toward his Part III examination to achieve full architect status.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
